Please someone come up with an answer! We've lost lots of Liriopes to these little monsters eating all the organic matter in the container mix they were grown in. We've tried most of the available granular insecticides (yes, I know they're not insects) and not been able to stop them. The only thing that is keeping them under control now is a lack of food.

Permethrin is one of a list, removal of hiding material, DE, they seek moisture and require it. Apparently they don't like cayenne pepper, but you would need to make it of a strength a squirrel could smell 3' away…

Has been a wet year, the rolliepollies WILL eat ANYTHING green as well as compost, just like earthworms, and they hide under the soil. Ok, rolypolys aren't bugs, they are a crustacean - like shrimp, etc.

The ones we have problems with are in an atrium within a building. They can't get out and their predators can't get in, so the population just grows and grows. You can almost see the ground moving and then realize it's sow bugs!

My little cousin called sow bugs 'rolly pollies' and I couldn't stand it.
I call them pill bugs; we have an endless, massive supply of those here but they don't cause trouble to anything. However, a control solution would be nice so I'm open to hear suggestions.
