They look great! That dark leaved one is intriguing. I had a couple plants with dark leaves and the flowers were very deep scarlet, possibly of the "Bishop" lineage. Hope you get rain soon. We got about a half inch on Sunday after a long dry spell. What a relief. RE: Glass wall. I watched a meteorologist explain this, they call it a "death ridge" (very dramatic name for boring thing). There was a stationary ridge of high/low (can't remember) pressure right along the Mississippi holding back weather systems going west to east. It's starting to break up now, so hopefully Crossing Fingers! we'll see some rain! Did you have any smoke from Canadian fires?

Smoke- in theory it was just "haze" and made for lovely sunset and sunrises where everything has been a neon pink. But no where near what you all on the east coast have been dealing with. We have had the "haze" for the last few years with both the fires in the western US and Canada. Every so often you do get a whiff but not too often.

Yes the dark one - no I don't have any Bishops of Landoff all of these seeds in my garden were all from doubles. I can't speak of who the bees brought in, as these are all bee pollinated so I'm sure they could have visited somewhere else before my house.

I look forward to seeing what they'll do!
Every gardener knows that under the cloak of winter lies a miracle ... a seed waiting to sprout, a bulb opening to the light, a bud straining to unfurl. And the anticipation nurtures our dream."
