I missed the flowering of this plant. It's in a client's garden and she forgot to take photos, but says they were blue and in June. Can anyone identify it by the leaves and seed heads? A perennial making a small clump, with slender leaves and stems, about a foot high, and has been growing in this pot for two or three years without increasing in size much. Deciduous, but I think some of the basal leaves may stay green. Looks like a scabiosa to me, except that the leaves look different from any I know.
Dublin, Ireland.

It looks more like Jasione to me, but I'm not sure.

Thank You!
thanks both! I'm still not sure. I looked up both, and would tend to go with phyteuma. It had occurred to me that it might be in the campanulaceae family because of its leaves and general habit. This client is not a plantswoman and I'm mystified where she found this as it's not common at all.
