Name: Jeanie Minnesota (Zone 4a) Replace your lawn with a garden!
Razzmatazz is one of my oldest daylilies, and one of my favorites. It is a prolific bloomer. The color looks great with any other plant and never fades.

Jeanie, ForayGardenGirl, please post pictures! I've come to the conclusion that I was sent Purple de Oro and Siloam Tee Tiny instead of Razzmatazz. I'm not even sure what it looks like now, all the pictures are different!
@Zoia, I was intrigued by the possibility that Razzmatazz and Purple de Oro are one and the same. Cartainly the first and third photos in the original post above look like Purple de Oro to me. The one you posted looks different, very familiar, but I can't seem to quite place it.
I did a quick Google search, and several sites identify Purple de Oro as Razzmatazz. Here's one:
It's too bad that Purple de Oro and Razzmatazz got mixed up along the way, but it wouldn't be the first time. Razzmatazz in the AHS database definitely has a green throat and is a tet, while Purple de Oro is described as having a gold throat and is a dip. Razzmatazz is supposed to have 26" scapes with 5" blooms and Purple de Oro 20" scapes with 3" blooms.

@blue23rose Well, it sounds as if they are not the same plant. As you mentioned, it's easy to see from the pictures how this happened. Thanks for figuring that out, Vickie. My Purple de Oro never got anywhere near 26" in height.
For anyone interested here is the real Razzmatazz:
As soon as I saw the ploidy, I thought maybe that they had gotten mixed up somewhere over the years. I am hoping and think it would be cool if someone has both in order to test the ploidy or at least show side by side pictures.
