Sadly, due to the deer and encroaching Houttuynia cordata 'Chameleon, I no longer have it but loved it in a bed with Pandora's Box. They were a great match.

Thanks. It didn't grow with wild abandon like Pandora's Box, but I did love it.

Unlike Arlene, my Unique Purple has been going great guns, while Pandora's Box is barely hanging in there.

Planted May of 2021, it bloomed late that year, from July 30- August 9 with 13 flowers. It had grown some extra fans but they died over the winter, leaving it at three in April 2022

The flowering season in 2022 was extraordinary, from July 10- August 16 with over 62 blooms counted. By October it had doubled to 6 fans and had a slight case of rust.

This year, 2023 was not as spectacular. UP only flowered from July 11- August 3rd with 19 blooms counted. However it grew 3 new fans to end at 11.

This really is a unique looking bloom. It's not large, being low to the ground but as a front of the border plant, it just keeps on pumping out cool looking purple flowers, so I love it.
