Any thoughts what this might be? Looks like it may have white blooms.
Thx

Purely a guess, compare to chirita. I think there are a few different ones.

Thanks Tiffany, the leaves look quite different than chirita.

I grew a few Chiritas years ago and although the leaves of that plant have a very slight resemblance to Primulina sclerophylla, the buds don't look like a match for Chirita. I hope you will post photos of the blooms when they open. I'm really curious as to what you have growing with that orchid, it looks like something that may be a keeper!

Good question! My question would be where did you find/purchase the orchid?
Or is this one that you already had, and maybe a critter planted a seed?
As an example, I have a Sharry baby, that suddenly has started growing, something else! Not sure what it is.
Guess I should let it come up a bit, and start another thread. *Blush*

Tara, that is so cool, I hope it's something good! All I ever get sprouting in my plants is lots of Whisk Fern (Psilotum nudum) and Cabbage Palm Fern (Phlebodium aureum) Grumbling

I have a couple of Hoya plants that are being taken over by whisk ferns; the Hoyas really need repotting but the older I get, the more I seem to procrastinate, especially with the Hoyas because they are a tangle mass of vines. Lately I've been thinking that I need to get rid of some plants and then I find myself taking cuttings and potting them up. I don't think there's any hope for me. Rolling on the floor laughing

The plant is from Orchids Unlimited (OrchidWeb), local (Plymouth, MN). the medium is New Zealand Sphagnum Moss.

I recently bought an orchid from Orchids Unlimited (OrchidWeb) and it's growing in long fiber sphagnum moss too. I haven't repotted it because it has 3 bloom spikes with buds. It will be awesome if something interesting sprouts in the moss!!

What is it Ursula? Does it come from the moss?

The leaves and seed pods look like the family of Acanthaceae.

My best guess would be Pseuderanthemum variabile.

It is a common orchid greenhouse "weed" and can reseed aggressively.

Looks like that's the one, looking forward to the flower for confirmation.

I don't think it comes along with the moss or any other medium. It is just a little pest, along with small type of clover. Honestly I never knew the name, on rare occasions I see cute little whitish blooms, but most of the time, I pull them before they get too established.

If cute little white flowers spontaneously appear in a pot, IDK that I would want to pull them out unless they are prickly or otherwise undesirable.
