I can't say enough good things about this plant. I received two fans in 2020 as a bonus from Oak Hill Daylilies, and it has outperformed the plants I actually ordered.

The plant is very long-blooming (with plenty of late rebloom), sporting bright orange-red flowers. It's registered as 27" tall, and it's at least that here. Branching is listed as 4-way, and that has been consistent. It produces lots of proliferations every year, some of which I have shared with others. It's also highly rust-resistant. According to my notes, it has shown rust only once here, in December of 2021, long after bloom season was over. Since then, it has been clean.

The plant is pod-fertile. Mine has two nice pods on it right now.

It's a little slow to increase. I started out with two fans in 2020 and have only five fans now in 2023. That is the only negative.

Caught Red Handed is an excellent garden plant that I feel deserves to be more widely grown.

I'm adding a couple of photos that show the branching:

Love your review Nan, and I was sure you would have good things to say about it since you have posted such lovely pictures of it on the threads. Sometimes a slow multiplier is a good thing and those prolifs are just as good as a division. Smiling

Thanks, Vickie. Of my 250+ cultivars, this one is in my top ten, and I will always grow it!
