Blue flowered shrub is also easy care. Caryopterous 'Bluebeard'…is a hardy shrub here too. Also one of my favorites . Lovely blue flowers easy care. Also variegated leaf version available.
If blue flowered shrubs is a fav could look into Ceanothus (California Lilacs) are compact, fast-growing, drought-tolerant shrub that produce an abudance of beautiful blue flowers from spring to fall. Both shrubs do well in part sun/shade.
