About a year ago I got hold of a Philodendron Tortum. Well it died almost as soon as it got home. I nearly threw it out but small buds started growing. It now has 4 leaves but it looks like a different plant. Instead of the antler looking leaves it should have, it's growing lobed leaves that look more like philodendron funbun. Is this usual? I'm assuming that as it died back it now has to re-mature before it grows the antler leaves?

Hello and Welcome! @Boldric. I had to look up Philodendron Funbun as I was unfamiliar with that name but as it turns out I have a juvenile one; I know it as Thaumatophyllum spruceanum. I also have recently acquired a second juvenile Tortum (I lost my first one quite quickly as well!) and the leaves are definately different. Perhaps there was a seedling of the Funbun or another philodendron mixed in with your Tortum? Could you post a pic of your plant so we can get a look at the leaves and give you an id?

Most all juvenile philodendron leaves look different from the adult form of the leaf, that is why juvenile -pants are very difficult to identify
