Unfortunately, they only ship bare root that are grafted. They even graft Madam Hardy...a rose that grows very well on it's own roots. I'm determined to stay with own root. They do have a huge collection, tho. Sighing!

Saw several I would love to have but doing my best to sit on my hands until I get what I have planted and the areas I haven't touched cleaned up.

Made me chuckle, Amanda. I'm determined not to order more roses than I can easily care for. I have two more I am ordering in the spring, but, that's it!!!!

I have space in a sense but I'm trying to recover the main garden bed from weeds AND I still have 3 or 4 roses still in pots that will need planted next spring. I also said I wasn't going to make new beds but only expand what's there. Lots of griping on the expansions but he'll just have to deal. It's a compromise. Whistling

Palatine is proving to be a bit tricky for me this year. Unfortunately, some of the Tantau roses I had initially planned to purchase are not available this year. There is a small chance that they might become available in November. Moreover, there is also a slim possibility that I could acquire some of the most popular ones, as I'll be on vacation in Europe during the first decade of December.

I would definitely try to obtain my favorites I have already:

Amour de Molène
Ascot
Augusta Louise

As for the roses with question marks, they are still under consideration, and I would greatly appreciate any opinions, particularly regarding Black Caviar (I've heard mixed love/hate reviews, which might be location-specific).

Here's the list of roses I'm considering:

Black Caviar??
Crazy Fashion??
Crazy Love
Flora Colonia??
Easy Does It
Florentina
Mitsouko
Peach Melba
Rosemantic Pink
Sweet Delight??
The Pride??

Your insights on any of these roses would be very helpful. Thank you! Smiling

Easy Does It is one of my favorite roses. Blooms very well, stays small. Only downside is it's not fragrant.
I've only had Crazy Fashion for several months as a rooted plant from one of my trading partners. Incredible fragrance, but I can't tell you anything about the bush b/c it's still in a one gallon pot (soon to move up to a 3 gallon).

Agree with Susan, Easy Does It is outstanding. The flower form and production is excellent all season, it does not shut down in the heat, and the wide color range in a delicious sorbet palette is wonderful. It's one of the roses I place in my Super Trouper category each year. Re: Crazy Love, this young own root plant bloomed very well for me in hot/dry NM, but quickly got too leggy for the container (I'm container gardening for the moment), so I gifted it to a fellow rose society member to plant out in her garden. For me, it was a tall plant, taller and wider than the stated size. (European roses can get larger in the US in many climates). I also grew climber Florentina in a barrel and it did very well, but it got passed on as well, as I knew it needed to be in the ground. The flower form is lush and romantic, and the color a very saturated crimson. I would grow it again in a heartbeat! PS: Crazy Love (1 and 2) and Easy Does It (3 and 4) shown during this 2023 season.

Elena, I have to make a tiny correction to my comment above about Crazy Fashion. I realized this morning when I was out watering that I had moved it to a 3 gallon pot last month. Duh... suffice it to say that I have a LOT of small own-roots that I'm moving up recently!

All of them? Statistically impossible.

The email I got from Palatine last week said they were still pulling and sorting roses, but I agree Elena, that seems odd to have pulled all of the Delbards and Tantaus!

Very interesting list, I see many Kordes roses and antique roses that are not available everywhere.

Too bad it´s too far away, I ´ve to order in Europe.

Wow, stunning roses!
Unfortunately they are not shipping outside Northern America... I will check if they have distribution or replication of their roses in Europe
