It's great to see some darker, richer coloured hosta flowers! Having said all that, it's a crying shame we seem to have lost the efforts of Jim Spence from Peterborough, ON, talk bout dark flowered.... they were a very deep purple, almost black but Jim abandoned hostas quite a few years ago now and it would appear as if none of his hybridizing work has been passed on, such a shame. I'd post a picture if I could find one... look on the old Hallson forum and do a search for Leafmould postings...
