I'm going to post about next year's swap soon. I would like to start the swap a little earlier next year, it's too close to Christmas for me.

I'm thinking at some point in November so seeds will go out by the first week of December. I'm even open to October if that would allow people time to collect, dry and pack seeds.

What do you guys/gals think would work for you?

For me, October is too early. A lot of things aren't ripe until mid-October and I'm not fast enough to harvest, dry and pack that quickly. My contribution would be smaller and I might not have time to order a few fresh for the next season seeds to add in.

Early to mid November might be a good time. Thanksgiving is on the 28th in 2024.

I vote for some time in November. Hopefully not too close to Thanksgiving.

I was thinking a earlier would be better because of Christmas. Probably early-mid November.

Our season here usually ends the first or second wk of September so any of those dates work by me. I have high hopes that this coming growing season will allow me to collect a lot more seeds 😂

We already have a swap scheduled for October 6-11, for those who would like one in October. It is scheduled to be complete by October 27th. DnD is "retiring" from her November swap. Having this one in November makes sense to me. Like Alana, I had flower seeds that didn't mature and dry until November. I think that having this swap fully completed at least a few days before Thanksgiving would work well.

Any time is fine...even if you wanted to go later (like January) to avoid holidays altogether.

For me- While November tends to be the busiest at work- it allows more things to ripen and me time to collect. It also allows for winter sowing time:)

I agree about the opportunity for Winter sowing November swap seeds.
