I purchased at Sam's club, SHRUB & VINE package with honeysucker (Lonicera), I do not know if this bush is invasive or not. There is no other name on the package other than 037641 honeysucker 1 per bag.

It might not be. Does it have a picture of the flowers?

The Japanese honeysuckle that is invasive here has yellow and white blooms. I've had a red honeysuckle for more than 20 years that hasn't reseeded at all. I don't think it's considered invasive for anyone. Hummingbirds love it. I used to have two. One in a container on my patio and one in the ground in a row of shrubs. I had invasive Japanese honeysuckle coming up in the same area and in the process of removing that, I also killed my red honeysuckle sadly. They were mixed together and it was hard to tell which was which. I still have the red honeysuckle that's in a large container on my patio. I don't think you'll be disappointed. They bloom a long time too by the way.

I noticed your bundle also comes with burning bush. I also have one of those which does reseed in a pretty large area around the shrub. I've considered removing that, but it shades the west window of our garage so I haven't yet. If I had it to do over, I would choose something else. It's invasive enough that it's banned in a few states. For me, it's definitely not as invasive as Japanese honeysuckle. I'm in southwest Missouri.

"Burning bush" is considered invasive.
Red honeysuckle doesn't tell us anything.
If the plant is the native coral honeysuckle, then invasiveness isn't an issue.
But... just calling the plant red... doesn't provide enough information.

I'm not aware of any vine honeysuckles with red flowers that are invasive. There may be shrub honeysuckles with red flowers that are but the package says vine so hopefully it's coral honeysuckle that Stone mentioned.

Burning bush has gorgeous fall red leaves adds color to the fall garden. It does reseed from the tiny flowers . I just hoe out the seedlings the next spring. That's in my zone.

Then again yikes my honeysuckle is a fast growing vine yellow and white flowers , invasive vine if not kept in check …it's in a large pot. Attracts bees like crazy. I keep it in large pot next to a wooden lattice 10' to climb in spring til fall. Then I cut it down to 4" until the next spring.
It can cover a small building if left to grow in the wild.
I’m so busy... “I don’t know if I found a rope or lost a horse.”

You could post on the Texas forum. Folks there might be able to help suggest what would grow well in your area/zone.
