I am so pleased with my sedums this year, I thought It's time to start a new thread for 2024. My propagation and a little granules has finally paid off. I finally stopped rescuing them on clearance and have given away so many sedum cuttings. I have also started growing them as groups to give it that beautiful succulent bouquet look.

My sedum Adolphi Firestorms:

@sedumzz is this a sedum burrito? It is being marketed as sedum precious.

Thumb of 2024-03-31/GigiAdeniumPlumeria/f7736b

Also, this is being marketed as sedum guacamole Whistling But I think it is sedum adolphi, just winter color not stressed.

So... It is either new, or just a rehashed burro as you said. I would grow them out side by side!!! Same thing with the guacamole. I believe Altman's has had some iffy naming history, but also, they do have their own new cultivars and such so I think it'd be best to wait and see if it's actually different.

Last year Hylotelephium sieboldii seemed to be a great attraction for honey bees, bumble bees and carpenter bees, in the good days I counted around 50 honey bees, stills from videos.

Wow Drooling Drooling I've never seen this sedum Hylotelephium sieboldii here in our local garden center and searched online and they have a variegated version too!

Also, didn't realize sedum has so many shapes similar to an echeveria rosettes, except blooms is a gave away that it is not an echeveria.

I better start planting the seeds that formed from my echeverias, sedum and graptopetalum combos. Maybe I will develop a new hybrid. Lovey dubby

PaleoTemp, that is a showstopper! The deer have not gotten to mine yet. Knock on wood!
They bit off all my Pulsatilla flowers. Grrr. Grumbling

Gigi, it's quite nice, isn't it? A doppelganger Hilarious!

Yes! I already just love the fireworks blooms of my sedums! And yes sedums blooms are true show stopper when in bloom and still have beautiful rosettes even when not in bloom!

But to have the Echeveria shape like Bajas is really level up beautiful!

New Sedum. I forgot what it is, but it probably has treleasii or clavatum (the latter more likely) in it.

The sedums are starting to come up for me. I don't think I lost anything except the blue elf.

That blue pearl is cute. I don't have a lot of luck on the small sedums. But any sedum that are like sedum firestorm grow like weeds for me.

Blue Elf tends to be a weaker plant for me. I think it came back. If it did, then it is still two tiny heads, whereas the other Hylotelephium (I know, Blue Elf is an intergeneric with Orostachys, but I compare it to similar Hylotelephium because it has a similar application in the garden) are much larger. I will keep watching it to see if it speeds up soon. I hope it lives!
