Daylily (Hemerocallis 'So Many Rivers')

This plant is pretty but hasn't done much yet.

I got 2 fans from Hemhaven in Spring of 2022. That summer, I had 2 blooms, June 13 and 21. By October, it hadn't grown at all and had a bad case of rust as it was near the center of the outbreak.

In 2023, So Many Rivers started the season with 2 fans in April. It didn't bloom until very late, September 15- October 5, one of the last plants to bloom. It produced 5 flowers. By October, it was up to four fans.

I'm pretty sure it will do better this season coming, now that it has settled in a bit and grown a few extra fans. I really like the color of the flower. I'm hoping it will be taller as the scapes have been super short so far.

Well...we have a dog. Ruby Two is her name. She's about a year and a half old. When she was about 6 months old she systematically removed about 2/3 of the tags for daylilies. Most survived, and are in pots on the deck. I'll let you know if one of them is So Many Rivers ! (when it blooms.)
