I've been binge watching the last few seasons of Gardener's World all weekend. I've enjoyed this show over the years, watching when I can find US access to them - best site that I had found to date was hdclump that I could watch from the computer. Now I have a smart TV and a subscription to Brit Box which airs current Gardener's World episodes and access to archived ones.
I love the British accents and am picking up patterns. The most obvious ones to me are that the words that Brits pronounce with a soft A, Americans pronounce with a long A (plant, garden, tomato, ...) Also, I had to look up what courgette was - surprised to find out it is what Americans call zucchini. Then I looked up rocket - Americans call it arugula. And a third one - Aubergine is what Americans call eggplant. So interesting!
