I do like this Daylily, it has a lot of garden presence. There is occasional leaning but it's not a problem in the location I have it. Very tall, very floriferous, you'll know it's there.
I bought this one from Northern Lights in the Spring of 2021. It did bloom the first season, 8 flowers from June 24- July 8. By October, it had grown to five fans.
In 2022, it started off with five fans and ended with seven. It also contracted no rust, even though many plants around it were affected. More astonishingly, I counted at least 62 flowers between June 30- August 12…not bad for a second year plant!
In 2023, it started and ended the season with 12 fans ( impressive growth) and I counted at least 58 flowers between July 15- August 22, which makes this a ML here, a welcome addition to the later garden.
I do wish the flower was a little bit brighter, sometimes In Walked Bud looks a little washed out. It's also in the hottest, sunniest part of my yard, to be fair. My Jazz loving friend did a double take on seeing the title as apparently it's a famous Jazz standard.
