I have had Spider Spirits blooming since 2014 so 10+ years in the same spot. Performance is variable in my yard as invasive tree roots are prevalent in its location. Bloom size has varied from 4.5" to 8" and scape height has varied up to 35". I have never seen the registered height. Best bud count has been 19 on 4 way branching the same year [and only] year it rebloomed: FFE on 3 May and rebloom on 27 Jun. Normally blooms mid-May which makes it an early-mid here as peak bloom is usually about end of May.. Pollen and pod fertile although pod is difficult. I have bloomed seedlings both ways.

Looks like a nice one at 19 buds and 4 branches. 35" is right in my sweet spot for height, but a little taller is even better. Smiling

I like that first picture. Do the scapes hold up pretty well, Dave?

The scape doesn't flop in my experience, if that is your question.

Yes, that is what I meant. Ever since I got North Wind Dancer (registered at 42") and it flops, I am curious about other tall daylilies. Thanks!
