I've got three daffodils in bloom right now - all are Division 1 miniature trumpets. So cute. The hellebores show is quite something right now in my gardens. I've been adding to the volume for years and it is really starting to pay off.

Someone in Harpers Ferry reported hummingbirds already!
My native honeysuckle is leafing out fast and already has a few open blooms. I didn't expect that this early.
Plant it and they will come.

So pretty. I think I planted more tulips last fall. But where? Way early for bloom here, no sign yet. Even some daffss are in bud.
Plant it and they will come.

Daffodil show is lasting a long time, thanks I guess to the cool March. What I like about rain in spring (April showers!) is the look of lush new green growth against the rich brown wet soil.
Plant it and they will come.

Spring is my absolute favorite time of year. The flowering trees in April and the emerging green of leaves and plants, so brightening and fresh, can't help but bring happiness and joy. Spring is also when my gardens are at their peak as far as blooming. Daily walkabouts are like greeting old friends, and each day something new is coming into its own. The past few days it has been the weeping cherry, and today I noticed the viburnum carlesii is blooming. The early daffodils have waned, but the mid bloomers have started, and still to come are the late bloomers. The old fashioned bleeding hearts are close, just a few more days and they will be in bloom. SO many others, hard to mention them all.

It's a wonderful season, especially in your garden!
I haven't thought about my bleeding hearts... I have white ones, maybe I mistook the early leaves for columbine.
I am happy a few columbines have popped up.
Plant it and they will come.

I don't know what became of my bleeding hearts, I can't find them. These are columbine, right?

Thanks,Teri, I was pretty sure, because there are several of these individuals in spread out places, but I thought I had just one clump of bleeding hearts.
Plant it and they will come.
