Anyone know this plant? Flowers smelled strong, like root beer. The plant reminds me of Fleabane, but with smaller leaves. Found growing in a park next to a river. Blackpool, BC, Canada. TIA
Looks like a late stage of butterbur flower, might be Petasites frigidus, (Arctic butterbur). or other Petasites sp, leaves will help to id it later when it leaves out

Yes, that's it! I had another post of the leaves being identified as Arctic Sweet Coltsfoot (Petasites frigidus palmate), which now makes total sense!
