We returned from a camping trip to this. I asked the girl that looked after watering the garden if she spiked the water with viagra. Rolling on the floor laughing

Joanna, Great Pictures - I love your idea of the hanging ball. I am trying to grow mine in a wreath form. So far I haven't been able to get mine looking as full as Martha Stewarts wreath Rolling my eyes. Maybe I need your vacation watering girl to come over and water mine!

Diana when that fills in it will be amazing. I love all the different textures and colors. It will also change color with the season. Would be great to see pictures of it in the different seasons to see how much it changes.

Greenfield, That is going to look great when it fills in.

I bought this wreath (on sale) already planted and then put an extra plant in the middle on a cement leaf. I don't have enough sun exposure and place for plants indoors so it didn't winter over in the house very well, so not sure if I will create my own from the wreath form or get a new wreath
I find the semperviums a bit expensive to buy individually, so for $20 a preplanted wreath works better for me

Joanne, there is a co-op going on right now for Sedum, Semps and Heuffs. Here is the link. Anywhere from $1.08 per plant to $1.50 per plant. These are plugs but will take off growing and produce many babies each for you. Try putting them in your garage in the winter instead of the house, expecially if you have a window for light. They don't do very well indoors for some reason. Just as long as your garage doesn't go down to zone three temps. : )

Joanne, I just noticed that you put instructions on how to put the ball together. Thank you so much. I am going to try that this Spring only a smaller version. Can't wait to do it. : )

Hi Lynn
I dont have nearly anything as beautiful as yours. This is something I put together in a dish. It featured tiny sucs I found in a nursery one year. The wheelbarrow I have for sucs is dormant right now.

I wish I could participate with the co-ops, but the customs documents and duties would probably be crazy. I will have to get a bunch of chicks (is that the proper term) from my neighbor before she moves. She has a bit of a collection.

Yes, Chicks. I just like the sound of that. I feel like I need to go get some chichen feed and sit outside with them. : ) Wish I could send you some, what a bummer. Oh how much fun, chicks for your yard. : )
Hi Clint. Come warm weather there will be a lot of trading going on in two trade forums in this Cubit.
Did you check out the Sedum and Sempervivum Sticky? It has some great links for more ideas on how to use your succulents. What's amazing about the Semps is the color changes each variety goes through in the different seasons. The Japanese site in one of the Sticky links is great for showing each variety in different stages. Please feel free to post any Semp or Sedum pictures you have. We would love to see them.

Well hi. Big Grin Did you every get out to Daryll's. I have some penstemon I got from him last summer that I just love. Isn't this weather wonderful. All of my sedum are coming out of dormancy. It seems crazy seeing them in Feb. Weather man last night said we can expect Spring like weather into April. Even my semps are showing signs of growing.
Good to see you here. I wanted to ask you, when is the best time to see the wild flowers at Basket Slew? Hope I'm spelling that correctly.

Yep...The weather is just unbelievable! I think it's much too early but I'm enjoying it.
Speaking of the Basket Slough I was going to go check it out this weekend to see what might be popping
up. I usually don't go out expecting much until March but the way the plants are showing up I better get out there!!

Never made it to Daryll's but I hope to go this Spring on my way to Dancing Oaks.
Best of Luck goes out to us all here in the Valley. Keeping fingers crossed for NO hard freezes

I just came back from a trip through your wonderful Cubit. What a wonderful area. I'm going to Cmail some others here in the area to check it out. I love it. Thank you for the spelling of slough. I should have known it as I lived by one in Puget Sound. I think my brain is tired. Sticking tongue out Have you met Diana (Greenfield here in Cubits and Creekside in DG), she lives in Dallas and works at Dancing Oaks. Much more knowledgeable about plants than I am.
