Wow! So many of these I like! And what a breath of warmth on this frigid 14 degree morning Smiling I think I'd have to pick Tangerine Horses and Lillian's Clockwork Orange as my favorites. I like their subtle shades.

This is really all I have in the line of what I would call orange. Sure had fun going through my pictures to find these. Thanks for bringing up this thread Betty!! I was needing a fix too Big Grin

All Fired Up

Aztec Beauty - Sometimes the colors are lighter, but I always love it when this one gets the gold dusting.

Electric Marmalade Magic

Handsome Ross Carter - althugh this thread is for favorites, this is one of my all-time least favorites. I do not like the height in proportion to the bloom size. But my daughter loves it, so she will probably be getting this next spring.

Hot Ember

House of Orange

Used to think this was Kwanso, but now am wondering if it isn't Flore Pleno. Any thoughts?

WOW! All these oranges are gorgeous! I love Sun Scream! And the name "Tuscawilla Tigress" tickles my tongue!

As far as the possible "Kwanso", it looks far nicer than any Kwanso that I have grown. I have not grown Flore Pleno, so can't tell for sure, but really pretty what you have there, Vickie! Thumbs up

Thanks for this thread Betty. Orange is my favorite flower color. Love all the pics, but especially Sun Scream. I have to get it now. Most of the ones I have and love have already been posted but here they are anyway.

Merry Christmas everyone and Happy New Year.

Wow, I see some here that I would love to get, like ORANGE SPICE, RIO FIESTA and LAKE TAHOE AUTUMN for starters -- if only I had more room… And I think I recently saw in his blog that Bill Waldrop has converted some plants of HANDSOME ROSS CARTER into tets, although he might still be in the process of converting it. Interesting!

MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone!

@blue23rose ... I think you have flore pleno. I looked it up this year because I think I may also have it. Here's a link to the description of the difference between flore pleno and kwanso:

http://www.hemerocallis-specie...

Basically, they differ in the number of petals (I believe, given the scientific terminology, and welcome correction with explanation if needed!). Kwanso normally has 7-12, flore pleno normally 15-18. Looks to me like both of your picks show between 15-18. Thumbs up

Also, it is said to be less invasive than Kwanso, though both reproduce from wandering root systems.

Thanks Tina. I will have to go back and rename all the ones I listed as Kwanso. I am wondering too if I may have both and just never realized it. Now I have it all along a fencerow and will get to see it all in bloom next season. That should hopefully tell me if I have both.

Love Carrick Gildon and Lillian's Dragon Magic! Set My Soul Afire is stunning as well:)
