Could someone Id this plant for me. It came up all by itself & I have no idea what it is. It has some bloom on it, the bloom are small, & in a cluster. The leaves look like some type of Phlox.

It looks a lot like Phlox drumondii:

Maybe a bird gifted you with seed?

Could be, but I don't think so. The flowers are too small like 1/2in. & the leaves are different. My Sis has some of those & they don't look the same.

How about a Dianthus of some sort? http://davesgarden.com/guides/...

Can you post a pic showing more detail of the flower.
It looks as if it's coming up through/around an amaryllis leaf
so it's difficult to see the growth habit of the actual plant.

It does look similar to a dianthus though, wild sweet william,
Dianthus barbatus is my guess.

There is an Amarylli at the base of it. I think it is a type of Dianthus or Sweet William.
Thanks, Lorine
