I think most everyone will be familiar with the genus Rhipsalis being an epiphytic jungle cactus.

Eccremocactus bradei is also an epiphytic jungle cactus. It gets quite large.
the cutting in the picture is well over a foot long.

In nature the plants share a symbiotic relationship with ants which live in the hollow stems.
The ants aren't necessary for cultivation. All species with the exception of one have hollow
stems. I tried several species this year, but lost them all
