Is Aethionema schistosum the same as Aethionema grandiflorum?
I know there was a recent discussion somewhere here, but can not find it?

No, they are different species. There are entries for both in the database at this site, including photos. Aethionema spp. are great plants for the rock garden - extremely hardy, long-lived and easy to grow.

Just did a WS of aethionema Iberidium which is a hardy mini shrub.
Does anyone know if it is critter proof?
The hares here nibble shrubs over the winter.
