Dave/Trish, been thinking about DG and some of my favorite forums there. I have either emailed or dmailed KentNC about coming over here and starting a Strawbale Gardening forum and PuddlePirate about the same for a Soil and Composting forum. These two have been above and beyond in their knowledge and dedication to their respective areas of interest. Just what you'd want in a moderator. Don't know if they'll take the bait, if they don't I think those two would still be a great addition to a brand spankin' new gardening website!! The Strawbale Gardening forum is what got me to be a subscriber to DG in the first place.

I used to frequent the Strawbale gardening forum, and loved it! When folks talk about not being able to do as much gardening, I always direct them there. Smiling

Hmm ... I'm not familiar with Strawbale gardening but I'd love to read and learn about it ... and we definitely need a Soil/Composting Forum!

Come on down to Kentucky PP, I'm sure I could find plenty of dirt for you to fix!!! Better have 4 wheel drive on that chair though!

I meant strawbale gardening but why not both! The whole ATP could learn that way.

I can do an article on SB gardening but soil would take a ton of pages to cover unless PP could condense and still make it sensible.

Good grief. A single article on Soil 101? It'd be more like a novel than an article.

Kent has passed on being a moderator for a future SB Gardening forum so I guess I'll volunteer for that and for writing an article on just what it entails.

Yes she would be good on soil. But be careful recruiting from DG. IB may not take too kindly to that. I took a chance with you but if you noticed I didn't leave a complete URL in case they were watching for tags in the Dmail.
