Growing plumeria takes so much patience, but before you know it you are rewarded! Two of our favorite babies is Kealani and Kiya, which has already bloomed.
What is funny about the two, is the inflo's themselves. Kealani has very pointed tips and only opens up half way..even when they fall off, they are still only half-way opened...the centers are veeery yellow with pure white petals...it grows in clusters. Individually they are pretty..but the clusters are awesome..and that the way she grows.
Kiya is gorgeous by itself, and never gets more than 5 flowers open at a time...so she can show her glorious shape!
Nature is AWESOME!

As an aside...the lens I used for this shot was a Nikon 24mm Tilt Shift lens...the lens actually tilts which helps to keep everything in focus. It is a problem for us flower photographers to keep the front and the back flowers totally in focus..if you look closely at this pic..you can see clearly all the way to the leaves in the back ground plant! I rented this lens to try it out and it is awesome. It is also hard to use and expensive! $2,200 new! Sad

Not only does nature know how to pose its inflos for the best look...look at the leaf structure forming a perfect frame to show off its beauty! aahhhhh...why do we love them so much? What a silly question!

James should soon be taking photos of his own. The clock is ticking.

James, I took my first photograph of a flower (orchid, of course) when I was 68 years old, and I used a ratty Kodak camera. We all start with that first one.

I want to see what flowers my plant produces for you. Whistling

I agree beautiful blooms and presentation Terry! I wish my hubby will be as crazy with plumerias as you guys but he can't tell a weed from a plant!

Speaking of blooms..this is the part I hate, seeing incoming flowers and not knowing how long before they bloom!!!

Thanks Mark...I am like you, I love the greenery of Plumeria and try to make it part of my photos, like I was saying on the second picture...the leaves look like the are framing their flowers!

Thanks Gigi! I am very lucky...my wife and I both enjoy Plumaria to the max! You only hear from me in here because she doesn't get into boards. I am always trying to learn, so chatting with other growers is the best way! The problem with BOTH of us being ravenous about them...is there is no one to tell us NO! Rolling on the floor laughing
