I wonder if there is a case for creating a separate forum for discussing the merits/quality/experiences of various garden tools? If not - where would it fit?

@Dave might be willing to create a Garden Tool forum if there were enough interest. I like the idea and would definitely frequent the forum.

I'd be interested in a tool thread too - still searching for a long handled japanese weeder.....

I have a bunch to say about the water wands I use that are guaranteed for 6 years but start falling apart before 6 months have passed, lousy hoses as well. A tool thread might be very helpful.

I think the "All Things Gardening" forum would be where I would start a thread on tools, Start one up and see how many replies and how much interest it generates, it might grow into a separate forum.

I like that idea also. I am trying the pocket hose for the second time. It didn't make it through one growing season last year. Thought I would give it one more try this year.

I do like the idea of a Tools forum.

I had to wade through pages of postings to find the above links. Would be great to have them in one place, easy to find.

May I suggest an enhancement to have the forum be about Tools and Materials ?

I am thinking of the posts I've read about weed barrier and the problems it can cause as it ages. The advantage of one kind of mulch vs another kind of mulch, etc.

The only one I could think of is already covered by the word "tools".

Maybe expand the "Garden Structures" forum to be "Garden Tools and Structures"?
