Some of the plants I have are under-represented by pics in the amazing ATP database. As mine grow, I try to contribute, and wanted to encourage anyone who likes to take pics of their plants to share them with the database! Not just "wow" pics of a whole plant in its' prime, but also pics of the stem, flowers front and back, back of leaves, pics that help with ID and propagation.

There are also many plants on my list that I know many other people have but haven't clicked that they have it. Keeping a list of my plants on ATP is so handy, I think anyone who tries it would like it. You never have to try to remember the botanical name anymore, (or the common name, if you're more into the Latin ones,) and you can add personal notes for yourself, make sub-lists.

Even if you just accumulate pics this summer but don't have time to upload them until the 'off season,' please do!

P.S. I'm happy to help if I can, if anyone has questions about doing this. Feel free to ask here or send me a private!

This is one that I do not see a pic of I will put in the data base.
Chlorophytum Amaniense Fire Flash’ (aka Orange Spider Plant)

It is even prettier now that it has been outside this summer. I will get a prettier pic and submit.

Cinta, may I ask where you got that plant? I would love to have Fire Flash and Chlorophytum orchidiastrum 'Greenorange' also. It is lovely just the way it is. It is so hard to find some of these unusual spiders.

I used to see that one for sale often about seven or eight years ago but haven't seen it at garden centers in quite awhile. The photo's in the database Sierra Leone Lily (Chlorophytum 'Fireflash') don't show the orange coloration.

I need to find a place online where I can get these different spiders. I have started a collection and I want to add to it. I do not get to garden centers anymore.

Yes it was about 8 yrs ago that I picked it up at my local nursery. You do not see it often.

I've never seen that Chlorophytum in person at all, very cool, Cinta!

I did take & upload some pics today, some in multi-plant form. Most of my pots have multiple plants.

I am still looking for one. If you google orange spider you get a site that said it is the plant of the day or week. I forget which, but it does not say where to buy it. WAAAAH!

Lin you are good. Who sells Begonias. I lost a couple over the winter that I liked. I was caring for a family member and lost a lot of my tropical plants. Most if I water them once a month they are good until they go out for the summer.

My DH was sick all winter and between hospital and rehab I did not water anything at all not even once all winter.

I am pretty sure this one is Escargot. The plant to the right.

Cinta, oh wow ... those are beautiful. Yes, that last one looks to be Escargot. I like Begonias but currently only have one, a noid Rex Begonia that I think I got at Wal-Mart awhile back.

Brad's Begonia World has a list of sources you might want to check out: http://www.bradsbegoniaworld.c...

And, The Violet Barn carries a few: https://www.violetbarn.com/sho... I used to buy AV's from them a few years back, the plants they ship are small but usually very healthy.

Yes, Cinta...prayers coming your way for your husband and your family.

I have an old tea rose begonia that I thought died several times and it keeps coming back. Sits on the back deck and is blooming like crazy. I just ignore it...seems to get brown in spots but never dies all together. The other one someone gave me and it too died but I never threw it out and it came back and is now blooming. Believe me, begonias do not get much attention here. I bought an entire collection of the fragrant ones and they grew for awhile and then just looked terrible. I gave them all to my girl that works for me and she had great luck with them. I have some white ones in the barnyard containers but they are not really looking too good now either. I think I had better stay away from begonias.

I do have a beauty I wanted to share, this is one of my baby
streptocarpus (Cape Primrose) called Bristol's Black Rubies
Thumb of 2014-08-07/JB/99c27b

It looks so much like Bristol's Boo Boo I am not sure why I bought both of them.
