bought my plowmanii at a nursery was only one they had but looked like it needed to be repotted, told me if I bought it they would repot for me, had some leaves that been eaten by snail(what they told me)so they cut them off, they left 2 leaves that were yellow..........when I got it home 2 days later I cut the yellow leaves off..........will it hurt the plant? I also wipe the leaves with soft cloth with alcohol to make sure no bugs would hurt it..........did I do any harm to it???

If you want people to understand what plant you are talking about, you need to state both the full binomial (latin name) of the plant, that is, both the genus name and the species. For example, are you referring to Steyerbromelia plowmanii, Solanum plowmanii, Anthurium plowmanii, Attalea plowmanii... or some other species named after or by a guy called Plowman?

Hi bingham, and welcome to ATP. Hope we can help you out here.

So, the plant now has no leaves at all? If it has any leaves left, how about showing us a picture? I also have no clue what a 'plowmanii' might be.

Alcohol is a pretty strong chemical to use on leaves especially if the plant is already in distress. A better choice might have been a mild soapy water solution. about 1/2tsp. to a quart of water. Spray it down or wipe with a paper towel, then rinse off after a while.
