This one blooms in March and is taking over one of my clumps of Jewel Baby. I hate when they do that because I can only divide as they bloom. I love this little guy.

Well I am going to break it up! Of mine that have bloomed (Next year will be much harder!), I am going with an older variety that I really love.

I love that Michigan Pride, Leslie. Can't tell ya how many times it's been on my order list -- then bumped for something else that appealed a little bit more. But MP is gorgeous -- and I'm gonna fix this, this year!!

Ken -- I had Matt McNames, and lost it. Rhizome rotted before I ever saw it bloom. It sure is a pretty thing!

Ken - I got it at first because I am from Michigan. It is a great grower, but since it is older it is getting harder to find. I keep thinking I should pick up another one just in case, and know I should soon.

My Matt McNames died before its second year. I never saw it bloom in my garden. whine...

I wonder if Matt McNames grows better in a colder climate because it grow like crazy here. I just split it up last year and made a big clump out of it... if all goes well, I should have some extra.

I would love to have another start of it Ken. I will give it one more try before I give up on it. I love the blue/black blooms.
