Welcome to our new thread, Iris Addicts. This week we will be showing colors, instead of working with names.

The color for today is Red!!

Qualifiers:
l) It must be a self.
2) You may post more than one, but each one must be in a separate post.
3) NOID's are welcome.
4) If you don't have a Red -- you can post one that you intend to have.

Ready? Go!!!

My first choice is War Chief:

I believe this one is called Red Zinger. I like the form and the smaller stature of this one.

I believe this historic red is Dauntless, which I think is considered a self....or maybe a bitone? These days I'm not sure it would even be considered red, they've come a long way with reds!

Tom -- as you well know, I LOVE your world-renowned NOID Red!!! Lovey dubby That clump is gorgeous!!

Good one Bonnie! I love the purple beard against the red petals. I'm unfamiliar with that one. Whose is it and when was it hybridized? Inquiring minds and all............

I am limited on selfs so everyone posting multiples is testing my iris reserves. I do have reds, but only two that have bloomed so far. Unless we are counting iris like Mary Ann's Avatar Sultry Mood as a red (like vendors often do)??? @MuddyMitts

You know my favorite red, so I had to dig out another image of it than those you have seen before:

Tom, you should crop that garden shot a bit and submit the picture as a multi-plant shot. It's a winner.
