I knew someone years ago who tried the using the water from when they cleaned their fish tanks on their plants. All the plants died. They had a saltwater aquarium! Not recommended.

From what I understand, only water from fresh water tanks is safe to use on plants. Thanks, for letting us know NOT to use water from salt water aquariums.
