Stapelia is a genus of plants in Apocynaceae that has unmistakeable flowers, as well as scent.

Most Stapelia smell like rotting animals to attract flies for pollination.

Well, I'm waiting for blooms on mine, not sure about the color because it was a cutting last year from another person. Can't remember what color they said it would be.:blinking:

Love those Stapelias! My aunt had one, and it was beautiful, and yes, it did stink!! Maybe later I can get one!

That is Stapelia gigantea!

The blooms on mine are smaller, I had it identified as a variation of S.grandiflora

Charleen, I am pretty sure that is actually a Huernia. Close relative to Stapelias!

Yes, I think it is. I couldn't believe how tiny. I love it.

Oh I have a Huernia too but it hasn't bloomed. Or maybe it has but I didn't see the bloom without my glasses
