So I uploaded like...a hundred photos or something one rainy day...only now figured out where in my profile the preference for watermarks was. I kinda like the idea of the watermark so others don't (quite so easily) steal the photos. So now that I have changed my preferences I am thinking I would have to go through and delete the unwatermarked version and re-upload it again in order to have a watermark added...correct? (I can't click something to have it easily added to all my past photos? To easy...don't think anything is that easy) :P

I think if you go to your profile page, click on where it says Change your site preferences, scroll down the page to where it says Add a watermark to uploaded photos, scroll over to the right and click on which watermark you prefer and then be sure to click on the green area at the bottom of the page where it says Save Your Changes.

I'm not certain but I think that will make it so that any pictures you've already uploaded to the database will have your watermark too but @Dave or one of the database moderators @zuzu or @Califsue might be able to help.

Lin, your tag to @Calif_Sue won't work because you've left out one of the characters.

I don't think the addition of the watermark can have a retroactive effect on photos posted earlier. That would defeat the purpose of temporarily turning off the watermark in order to post other people's images.

Dave might be able to help in adding the watermark to earlier photos.

oops ... sorry about the duplicate post here. I'm having a difficult time with my eyesight today. Corrected my earlier post to get Calif_Sue's name right.

Thanks for responding zuzu! I didn't think about the temporary watermark removal in order to post other peoples images.

@BrendaVR I can write a script to go back and add the watermark to all your past photos. Have you set your preferences yet? If not, please do that first and then let me know and I will then retroactively apply that watermark to all your past photos.

@dave : Yes, my preferences are updated. That would be great if you could but no worries if not. It's not a huge deal, I can re-upload if it is that important (it just would take another rainy day) :P

I don't think there is a huge chance of anyone wanting to 'steal' the photos but it would be nice "just in case" so if it is posted elsewhere it can be tracked back to where it was first posted (I did take them so I could help fill in the database here, I greatly appreciate being able to participate in the forums and everything (without having to pay like some places). Its a great community and nice just to share ideas and chat). Minor thing but thought I would ask just in case I didn't have to re-upload.
