Hi

I picked up a grape vine. I am wondering how invasive is the root system? I would like to plant it next to a brick wall but I don't want to worry if the roots will mess up the wall or go under the wall to the neighbors driveway.

I have another possible place to plant (also near a brick wall). On the other side of the brick wall is a neighbors built in pool (close to the wall). Will the roots search for water and go to his pool?

Thanks.

I don't know about the roots, but I do know they need full sun, and good air movement, as they do tend to get mildew. They are best grown in open areas.

I still haven't planted it yet. My string beans died out and I'm thinking of planting it there after the tomatoes die out.
