I'll be gearing up for some mosaic projects soon and thought we could share our ideas. Please feel free to post art you've seen or created. Also, I'll try to find a few links of the photo galleries I've seen which inspired me to get creative with mosaics!
Sandi's "moosaic" posts prompted me to show you photos of the mosaic sculptures I saw in D.C. last month. It's the first exhibit for the National Museum of Woman in the Arts on New York Avenue in Washington, D.C. http://www.nmwa.org/sculpturep... There are four sculptures by artist Niki de Saint Phalle. Apparently these are all fountains but I wasn't fortunate enough to see them in action.

I got quite a kick out of them too! I was trying to decide which photo to post first and thought that "robust" figure in the first one would grab everyone's attention.
I can only imagine! What amazed me was the addition of the water feature (red arrows). They ran up and down the arms, legs and head. Can you just picture what it would look like with the fountains turned on? What fun!!!
This is one of my favorite sculptors, Debbie. Thanks for posting the pictures.
She reminds me of sculptor Henry Moore, but with much more color and fun woven into her figures. His were so somber and hers are pure fun.
My students loved her work.
