I love painting ( ) bricks and tree rings! I hunt for odd shapes at HD, Lowes, garage sales etc. My main problem is I have more creations in my mind than time!

Cute idea and I really love the trees in between the houses. I have never bought any of those tree rings because they always look so blah. Good thinking there Becky, I may have to try something like that. I too like the odd shaped things, What does that mean anyway, am I warped?

I use exterior house paint and acrylics. The patio paint and Delta Ceram coat paint are my favorites. I seal with Krylon Clear Spray but am experimenting with others. My clients who have them under the patio say theirs look brand new. One client put hers in the garden and with the AZ sun, it's peeling. She's a friend and I am doing it over for her.

Sadly, I never painted one for myself!

Do you think something like a concrete sealer used on the tree rings prior to painting might help with the peeling?

Vic, you made it to Drawing101? I was never accepted. They told me my crayons weren't the right color, weren't sharp enough, I bought the skinny box instead of the 64 colors, etc....

I think in that particular clients yard, it was in full sun and was getting constant water. It's also 14 years old and was fine until last summer. I guess that's not too bad, right?

Shoe...I used to beg for the flat gold box...101 crayolas! They only came out at Christmas. Vic, you'll surprise yourself soon!

It took a very special occasion for us to get a box bigger than 24 crayons.

I don't remember what kind of crayons I had, was too busy playing with dolls.

Becky, a tutorial in painting the bricks would be great. I know I've admired them and always was going to give it a try.
