I am not a tropical expert but I have grown many plants indoors and out and I will try to help. But first I will need more information about how you are growing your plant and where.
Are you growing it inside a house? In a greenhouse? Or outside? (It is difficult to tell from this picture).
If you are growing it outside, it will help to know where. In what climate? In the sun all day? Or in shade part of the day?
Is it in a pot or in the ground?
How big is the pot across the top?
Is it growing in potting soil or garden soil?
How often are you watering this plant? Daily, weekly, monthly or somewhere in between?
How much water do you give it at one time?
It sounds like you are worried that you are over watering your plant. The answers to these questions will help me or anyone else get a better idea of what the problem might be. It would also be helpful to have a picture of the whole plant and the pot if there is one.
