Marie- You may want to include the area, zone you are from, Southern states often plant in fall, Northern states either spring, or fall/winter if they have a green house or grow lights/Southern windows for in the house. Good luck with your seeds!
Marie, if you're not already doing so why don't you put the seeds in zip-lock baggies in the fridge to keep them until you're ready to plant them. I understand that they should be refrigerated for at least two weeks before planting -- but this is just info I picked up along the way and may not actually be true. And someone here mentioned that daylily seeds can be refrigerated for up to three years and still be viable.
I usually plant mine here in Bakersfield starting around mid-October, but that is only because we always go on vacation for a week in early to mid-October and I want to make sure I'm here to give them some TLC when they start emerging (usually about one week after planting).
Thanks Gale and Betty, I appreciate the info, I wondered if they were like iris seeds, I usually plant those October, hoped it was similar. Thanks for refrigerator tip too, didn't know that.

Mine are too. Between the scorching heat and the severe thunder storms .... that new bed may take months to complete. Luckily, all my new daylilies are sitting cozily in their nursery pots until the new bed is done. All are putting on new leaves since their brief transplant shock and seem to be adjusting to my very hot and humid climate just fine!

Marie, if you need seeds to practice with, I Still have a lot of pollen unknowns from 2014, and some from this year, nothing overly fancy, but from nice time tested performers. You are welcome to them.
Wow Gale, I just checked my mail, sorry for not getting a look at this sooner. I'd love whatever you'd be willing to spare.
I just collected my seeds all six packages lol and put them in the refrig.
I really appreciate any you would spare.
