Julia, where did you get yours from? How long have you had it? Is this a recent photo you are showing.
There is a Cherry Frost and a Cherry Frosting.

These are all pictures form data base. My pictures is from last evening. Mine came from Chris and looks just like her picture. I have had it for about 2 years. Truly a beautiful semp but not covered in velvet like the other two.

@goldfinch4
Chris where did your Cherry Frost come from?
I am thinking that Julia & Chris's semp is really Cherry Frosting, not Cherry Frost.

Let's get an answer from Chris then we can proceed from there. I really do think we have a name mix up going on. Looks to be an easy one to fix. Hurray!

Hi there wondering what does the 'real Cherry Frost' look like, does anyone have a picture or written description? @Jungleshadows @Valleylynn
Here are the 2 I have from 2 different sources, I didn't have a quarter so I used my keys to give an idea of size
Photos taken 5/4/2016
From Young's
Thumb of 2016-05-05/gg5/a06fe0
From SMG
Thumb of 2016-05-05/gg5/2b39ef

Any info would be great thanks I tip my hat to you.
I'm only just seeing this post - I think the one from PO is correct as it colors up just like what Banker07's looked like. The other one doesn't look like Cherry Frosting, so I think it is just a NOID...let me know what ya'll think. Thanks

I agree that the pictures of mine in the database are wrong - I got rid of that plant a long time ago. The "new" one I have that I think is now the correct ID I bought from PO.

I got mine from SMG 3 or 4 years ago, and it looks just like the one from PO.

Cherry Frost is definitely a small cobweb. It was one of Helen's plants that came in as a seedling in a bunch of plants from Sandy MacPherson.

Should have NO velvet either!

Kevin, would you look at the ones still in the database entry and tell me which ones do not look correct?

Only the one from Twicher looks off.

Compared to newer things in this color range and size it's not too outstanding anyway. That plant is 50 years old!

Thank you Kevin. I removed that photo now.

Greg, I just went out and checked on my 'Cherry Frost', it is also an incorrect plant. I have turned it's tag and will be using it for gift container planting. Thumbs up

Well there ya go - good idea...I like the one from Young's too much I also have a 'Cherry Tart' which I got from SMG that I know is wrong, but they are pretty and until I somehow magically figure out what they actually are, I'm going to keep it with the label and a "?" (how I label the ones I have that are incorrect!)
Thanks for your help all! I tip my hat to you.
