Background history:

"Discover the Stars" is a dormant diploid introduced in 2012 by Steve Williams. Steve hybridizes at O'Bannon Springs Daylilies in Nashport, Ohio:

According to the ATP database, this is a mid-season to late bloomer. It is an unusual Form - Crispate with a large 8.25" bloom.

I received this plant as a gift plant at a region 2 meeting in Columbus OH. When it bloomed the next year I was blown away with the size, shape and color of the bloom. Every large well spaced bloom looks great and I love it.

Pollen is fertile. I have not tried setting pod.
