May be a Yellow Striped Armyworm aka Spodoptera ornithogalli - if this is a correct guess I don't need to ask what plant it's feeding on because this type feed on many different plants.

Yup, Yellow Striped Armyworm. We occasionally get infestations of them in the flight cage at MOSI and I have to go around with my bucket and gather them up. They truly do eat anything.
