Even though this cultivar bloomed so late in the season that I couldn't use it as a pod parent (due to the heat), I loved the bloom so much that I had two clumps of it in different locations. Both clumps are gone, succumbing to crown rot within this past month.

It's always one of my best performers, with a high bud count and a long blooming time. It acts like a dormant in my garden and multiplies rapidly.

I have long loved TBP. It seems to me that it was one of my first in my yard that had that matted effect, along with JERRY HYATT and WIDOW'S WALK. I just uploaded my image to the database.

I have seen one seedling out of it:

TBP X NANA NANCE

I hope it's ok the mention offspring!

Steve - Yes, it is fine to mention and show photos of any children from any of the featured cultivars. Many of us wish to know more about a cultivar because we want to use it in our hybridizing program. Thank you for including that gorgeous photo of TBP X NANA NANCE seedling! Lovey dubby

I don't have this one, but it has been on my 'need to get' list for many years. It is beautiful as is Steve's seedling!!!!! I think I need to put it back to the top of my "want" list.

I have had this plant only since 2016 but it has been a great performer. It has bloomed both years, increased more than moderate, is sunfast, does not get blotchy. It reached 34", so should meet stats at maturity, the bloom's color is always consistent, that beautiful lavender grey which changes some as the day passes. Bud count was a decent 14 with 3 way branching blooming from July 27 to Aug 30. This is a stand out in the garden.

This was received in May 2023 from Great Expectations. It was planted in the Lower Fence bed, starting and ending the season with three fans and no bloom.
