Found and interesting article on propagating Asiatic lilies from leaves. has anyone done this? Does it work for all types lilies?

I've seen it before and the only credence I give to it is that it is proof that leaf propagation is possible. It dismays me that blogger could have written an informative entry, but instead chose to leave out all the key data for replication. Even his most basic result, whether he got more than one bulb from the six leaves is doubtful, but unclear. He switches from singular to plural even in the same sentence!

When challenged, the blogger later admits that results are better with lilies that naturally produce bulbils, but still refuses to say if that is what he did in the blog test. You might have seen this addressed multiple times in the comments?

I've tried some leaf cuttings and stem cuttings of Lilium primulinum (an asiatic lily) and got roots, but no bulb.

I have tried this with a no ID orange asiatic lily that is a prolific producer of stem bulblets. Of the 30 leaves I tried only one leaf made a tiny bulb that was half the size of a grain of rice. The rest of the leaves either dried up or seemed to have rotted after the 4 week mark.

Guess I won't waste my time trying it. Thanks for the heads up.

It could be worth a try if you could get the right conditions, but it seems like investing some time in figuring out tissue culture might yield better results
