The neighbors' jenny is visiting, but her tail isn't this cute. This category has so many weird, wonderful plants with exotic and colorful blooms and all of them seem to lend themselves to taking good photographs. I starred so many. I don't even remember which three in the category finally got my three votes. I think if I voted every other day, it probably wouldn't be the same ones. The black background here really makes the detail pop!

Thank You! @needrain This plant resides in our sun room and it is difficult to photograph plants there because of "clutter" that detracts from the plant. We have solved this problem by purchasing a canvas and painting it black to use as a background....unfortunately we can't carry this around for the outside photographs!
Any day you wake up on the sunny side of the grass is a good day.

I gave up long ago even attempting to avoid clutter Smiling . I'm cluttered, so that's just the way of it. I'm mostly only inclined to attempt a photo when things are outside. I've tried in the past to rig up a solid background for taking photos, but anything heavy enough to stay put in the wind is too heavy and bulky to move around! I'm lucky if the clouds and sun and wind coordinate together long enough to take a photo most of the time, so I just quit worrying about it. A photo like this makes me want to try again, but I'll get over it Big Grin .

Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing @needrain I have trouble outside because every time I look outside and there is no wind and I grab my camera, the wind is suddenly blowing. It's hard to get a closeup of a flower that is blowing in the wind!

What a great idea.... It really makes your plant stand out beautifully! I might have to borrow this idea myself Thumbs up
