Are these growing in a pot? I've tried to grow these twice, in the soil, but they don't do well here in El Paso, where its hot and dry. Our average precipitation is only 10 inches. So how do you take care of these beauties? I'm loving this photo. Thank you for sharing. Trish

The Osteos in the picture are in pots for sale at a nursery. I haven't grown them in my own garden but do see them in other flower beds here. We are dry here and hot but probably not as hot as El Paso. We water here all summer......
