Hello my name is Joshua and I love to garden. Theres something you can't explain about having instant gratification with seeing your hard work bloom and excite you.

A little about myself. I am 25 and I love perennial/annuals that are big and in your face. I enjoy growing a lot of plants from seed and cuttings. I have been gardening for 3 years and have not stopped since. Once the gardening bug got me it didn't let go. I will be posting some pictures through out this year starting with spring.

I will go ahead and say growing foxglove from seeds was my crowning achievement in spring. I was absolutely in love with this flower in April. People should really grow this plant more often.






The pastel garden was in full bloom during spring.







Another wonderful plant I grew from seed was sweet rocket. It was so easy to sow in early spring and germination rate was high. It also blooms for a very long time. Which is good because I do not have that many spring flowering plants. I can honestly say my garden is a summer/fall garden.

It amazes me a tiny seed makes such beauty.

OHH and I almost forgot another first time sowing and blooming this year. This purple aquilegia was also another exciting flower and goal I can check off the list of growing.

Very healthy and full bloomed Foxgloves,..here's hoping they re seed and produce many different colors for you,..the garden is looking good and nice to hear you got the gardening bug ,..you also have some other nice blooms,..well done.

Merry Christmas to you and your family! I see you are also in SC. I'm in Moncks Corner. A little north of Charleston. I grow mostly daylilies. And if you look I'm kinda obsessed lol!!! This spring I can send you a few maybe if some that I have that have multiplied. Daylilies can sell from anywhere between $5 to $200+. Lol. I have some in all price ranges. I am a member of our local Daylily association and have grown them for many many years. You can also grow them from seed by making your own crosses. It's a lot of fun to see what you create. I also have other plants that I can share as well. I like things that are a little unusual and different. Enjoy your day and we will keep in touch! 🎅🏻

Joshua. I am new to gardening too so I totally understand how that particular bug can bite. My eyes are feasting on the gorgeous flowers and arrangements; lovely, so very lovely. Thank you for sharing them. I am really looking forward to more pictures.

In the beginning of summer the front garden began to ramp up. The iris had finished flowering and now the rose, crocosmias and liatris were blooming. The front garden is meant to be a long border full of flowers and color. I live in a ranch house so the beds are very long.

I was very proud of myself for growing this hibiscus from seed. I had no idea what color it was going to be so this was a 3 year surprise. (I am sure it would of grown faster if I had given it much better growing conditions as a seeding when I was still a newbie)



You know when the to stop collecting flowers for a bouquet when the bucket starts looking good.





First time growing a rose other than a knock out rose this one is called a peace rose. Both of theses roses I picked up at Wal-mart for 5 bucks!

Very nice roses and not expensive at all,..i must admit you made that bucket attractive there is a great selection in there,..your Hibiscus looks healthy enough with a nice bloom,..some Hibiscus can be a tad slow to grow so give it more time,..well done.

Hi Joshua. You have lovely gardens and I am really enjoying the photos. I'm envious of those foxgloves - I've tried them several times and just can't get them to take. I've tried mature plants, direct seed sowing, indoor seed sowing, winter sowing, and nada... I'm trying them once again from some pass along seedlings that I got from a gardening friend in September. I know they are biennial and am hoping they take off and bloom this spring. Keeping fingers crossed. I like them so much, I just don't want to give up

I started it on this past year and on a bleak january day and during the summer it came into its own.





As you read this forum you will learn I am obsessed with Dahlias. I really like plants that come in different colors and varieties.

Thank you Philip. English gardens really inspire me to go for that cottage garden look and jam as many plants as I can.

English Cottage Gardens are very inspiring ,..mine is a combination of both English and Irish Cottage Gardens with a good few American plants thrown in ,..but its the filling or cramming many plants together gets that appearance,..here is mine for the entire month of June and its changes.

Dahlias, dahluas and more dahlias. These flowers stole my heart back in 2014. I can remember my first a remember my first dahlia bloom. It was a huge yellow Kevin floodlight. After that my bank account has regretted it. All last winter I was looking all over the Internet for different Dahlia till I was swimming in them.



















If I had to choose one dahlia that was my favorite this year it's Twilite. It's tall and and absolutely shines like a star at night. I bought this one from swan island dahlia





It even looks like a shooting star with the zebra grass behind it.
