We all share pictures of our named plants, and have threads for our seedlings, but I have not noticed a thread for NOID's (perhaps I have missed it). Although they don't have a name to go with them, they can still have beautiful blooms. I have two, one was a bonus, and I got all the other plants from the order on my map, but some how missed this one, the other was not the plant I ordered.

NOID #1, I don't have many pinks because most look like they have lavender in them when I look at the pictures. I can't see lavender in this one live, but do in the picture, so maybe it is just how pink shows up in photo's. This was a bonus, I have no idea what it may be.

NOID #2, This was suppose to be Bertie, obviously it's not. It has a very large bloom on a very short scape, not my favorite, but it did have instant rebloom, including three scapes on one fan, and all bloomed before weather got too cold, so I did make some seeds with it.

I have several NOIDs that I'll never identify. Here are a few.

This was supposed to be Milanese Mango. I should have been more disappointed but I became quite fond of this pale lavender spider.

This was supposed to be Mary Delambre. But I have few dark colored daylilies so I figured it was a happy accident.

Finally,

Thumb of 2016-02-14/bxncbx/2918c6
This was supposed to be Flaming Frolic. The plant didn't bloom for years. When it finally did I realized it wasn't right. But it's a late bloomer and I fell in love with it right away.

I wouldn't switch any of my NOIDs for the plants I'd originally ordered!

I don't remember seeing a thread on NOIDS, but I know I have quite a few. I'll post photos as I run across them. I do know I have a red NOID that bloomed last year and it looked pretty good.

For Seedfork's purple, I would suggest a Moldovan cultivar such as Mephistopheles. But it really is difficult to make suggestions without any other detail, such as scape height, size, and bloom season.

For Seedfork's red, I am wondering if this could be Vivid Heart.

Seedfork, are you sure your second yellow isn't MARY TODD? She's a very waxy-textured flower, with top heavy budding as shown.

I think this one is Night Whispers, My NOID for 3 years. Is a great extended bloomer.

Here are a few I have:

A diploid, about 5 inches and of medium height. Found this one--it's Lacy Reinke.
Thumb of 2016-02-15/mantisOH/a2232b

I wonder if this is Pink Rocks. Short (but that could be because of tenderness) and about 5".
Thumb of 2016-02-15/mantisOH/c92fdc

About 6" and 30" tall.

Thumb of 2016-02-15/mantisOH/f9397e

Medium height and around 5". A diploid I think.

When posters say, "This was supposed to be ----," I wonder, "Was there a catalog by the person who sold it to you?" If so, the obvious first place to look is at the seller's catalog.

This I found growing in the yard of an abandoned house. It is diploid - I wonder if it is CHALLENGER? 40X6.5

This was in someone's garden on the island. The owner did not have the faintest. It is diploid, vigorous and a bud builder. 40X5

Sold to me as Lavender Blue Baby then corrected to Kansas Kitten when challenged. Lol. Diploid. 28X5.

@mantisOH I bought quite a few of my NOID daylilies at a daylily farm in NC that is no longer in business. That's why I'll never ID them. They also bred and registered daylilies so it's possible some are seedlings they never got around to registering. I don't mind though. As long as I like them I'll keep them!

Here are the NOID's that I have:

Got this one from a friend, who got it from a friend. I've posted it on ATP in attempt to find a name but could not. It may have been a seedling from the lady that had it??? The most notable thing is that the back of the petals are YELLOW like the buds. Love this one.

Sue, your last one could be Highland Lord. Fairly short and not consistently double. On further consideration, Chinese Scholar may be a better match. Again, short.

Seedfork, consider Princeton Point Lace for your second yellow.

Sue, I was wondering if "From a friend" is the species Hemerocallis citrina?

MantisOH - Both of your suggestions are good possibilities. But there are SO many daylilies, I will probably never know the real name. I got it so many years ago (about 20 +) before I cared about keeping names. I'm sure at that time I would have purchased it from a store or a local vendor offering veggies and flowers. I'll keep both in mind and pay closer attention when it blooms this summer. Thanks.

might be Elegant Candy. Bought as Blueberry Candy. Both were available where I bought it and I'm thinking a tag got switched up by mistake.

no idea who this is, a landscaping customer was having some things removed, they had no idea what it was or even what it's blooms looked like, I brought it home and stuck it in the ground. This is what came up. Actually...looks a lot more like Blueberry Candy than my Blueberry Candy does. Hilarious!

no clue on this one either... (though it is probably my favorite yellow 'self' of the ones I own)

Rob Duval, your penultimate listing may be Siloam Gum Drop. Check the stats to see if they match.

I've never taken measurements on it, but I want to say that it's a bit taller and the blooms a bit bigger that what is listed for SGD, but I'll take a closer look at it this upcoming season.

I looked at the pictures of Hermerocallis citrina and they appear to be more of a lemon yellow vs. the golden yellow that I have. Who knows??? Usually if I have a NOID DL and "think" I know the name, what I'll do is purchase the DL that I "think" it may be. Then when it blooms I should know one way or the other. That happened with Prairie Blue-eyes that was given to me by a friend and she didn't know the name. That was the only time it turned out to be right. I'll have to keep my eyes open for citrina to purchase.
