I saw your post about the borax and creep Charlie but the post doesn't state when is the best time of the year to apply it to the problem area. Spring, summer or fall?

Round Up mixed at twice the normal concentration and sprayed on the plant when it is in bloom does the job. It may not totally kill the plant but it will keep it in check Gene

Not sure what that "normal rate" of Round-up would be, as the label recommends multiple concentrations depending on your purpose. But, if you mean twice the highest rate, you're burning the foliage before the maximum absorption of the chemical be be achieved. In other words, the weed is not taking in the poison as much as it should. You're doing a good job killing surface tissue, but not so good at killing the whole plant. You're wasting money and poisoning the environment way more than you need, too.

I know the question was not directed to me but it is best to apply the Borax when Creeping Charlie is actively growing - in the Spring. Remember to watch the weather and apply the Borax when no rain is expected for 48 hours.

The ideal time yo apply is in early fall

I remember reading that caution should be used with Borax (boron) because it can be toxic to surrounding/desirable plants if too much is used.
